Sociology is the study of human social relationships and institutions.The field of sociology studies virtually every aspect of human society: the family, gender, race and ethnic relations, aging, education, work, population, and many others. Its principle goal as a discipline is to understand the workings of human society and to explain social behavior.Examples of sociology could include studying the relationship between culture and society, examining social movements, or researching how communication affects human behavior.

Sociology is the study of various cultures and societies. Sociology is relatively a new discipline compared to chemistry,Philosophy and others.First termed by french scholars, 'August Comte'. Consists of two words 'Socius' (latin) means - 'society, association,togetherness,companionship. 'Logos' ( Greek) refers to speak about or word. 

Generally understood as science.Literally, word or speaking about society. The study of society and culture.Because of uncountable subject areas,sociology cannot be easily defined as a single subject like other subjects.So, it is more practical and logical to define it in terms of its approach rather than its subject matter. Sociology is the scientific study of social behavior and human Groups.

August Comte defines, "Sociology is the scientific study of social dynamics and social static, broadly society.'

Emile Durkheim considers, "Sociology is the science of social facts."

According to Max Weber, "Sociology is the scientific study of human social action."

According to Abumere (2014), "Sociology can be defined as the systematic and objective study of human social life, groups and societies."

According to the American Heritage Science Dictionary (AHSD, 2013), "Sociology is the scientific study of social behavior, its origins, development, organization, and institutions.

According to the US National Science Foundation (2012), "Sociology is regarded as scholastic disciplines of STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Field."

Sociology is a discipline embodying a set of theories and principles which studies normal social phenomena as well as pathological social phenomena with some attention to anthropological and psychological implications and which offers a method of dealing with the materials in which research and direction are carried on.

About Japanese Grammar: The no (の) particle

  Japanese Grammar: The no (の) particle When you want to say “my name” or “his friend” how will you say it in Japanese?  In order to complete this exercise you’ll need to know the Japanese possessive called no (の).  Take a look at this sentence: watashi no namae (わたし の なまえ).  Notice that the no (の) goes between the word watashi (わたし) and namae (なまえ).  Watashi (わたし) means “I” while namae (なまえ) means “name”.  Since the no (の) possessive is after the watashi (わたし), you know that the person who is doing the possession is “I”.  So in English this would change to the word “my”.  Altogether the sentence watashi no namae (わたし の なまえ) means “my name”. The no ( の ) particle is used to connect nouns together.
