 Marriage can be defined as a socially acknowledged and approved sexual union between two adult individuals.

Marriage is defined as a legally recognized social contract between two people, traditionally based on a sexual relationship and implying a permanence of the union.A socially supported union involving two or more individuals in what is regarded as a stable, enduring arrangement typically based at least in part on a sexual bond of some kind.
